Amari responded to the photo of the smiling baby in this book by smiling. We read the book 2 times and he only smiled at this page.

So this last week we were dealing with our first medical drama. Amari got an abscess on his bottom which I was told was due to bad luck more than bad mothering but I felt really bad about it. After consulting with numerous doctors in addition to the doctor we saw I was convinced we needed to give Amari antibiotics. The antibiotics upset Amari's stomach and were psychologically very upsetting to me but they did take care of the abscess. We have both been taking probiotics too and I am hoping we can avoid thrush.

On an unrelated note Amari is playing around with making sounds and hi and go are two combos he was saying a lot today.

The BMB came by and took some nice photos of Amari in his bamboo clothes. Beyond looking more grown up Amari also started consistantly rolling over from his tummy to his back this week.
